My memories of Trevor

Created by Don 3 years ago
I worked directly for Trevor in a role some would call Chief of Staff, in reality 'gopher'. I will be brief, although I have lots of memories, because we developed a style of keeping things short and to the point. The weekly flash report was a single page brief summarising the entire Typhoon project. Friday lunchtimes were spent waiting to get his nod of approval before winging it off to Head Office. As Secretary to the Board I would take pages of notes of the meeting, then Trevor would sum it all up in 3 points which was my 'get out of jail' card. He had a brilliant mind and always came up with a plan or a workable solution. Only once did he say 'Gosh, this is difficult. What would you do?' Then there was his familiar smile. He would sort it. One final thing - he used to type in haste and often emailed me beginning 'Son'. A most wonderful man and boss.
